1. Monitors processes continually keeping production line balanced and meeting daily schedule
within established labor standards
2. Makes changes to associates' assignments as necessary to adjust for planned product flow and
line balancing
3. Ensure availability of raw materials and packaging materials for each machine.
4. Supervise the set-up of the machines.
5. Direct employees in completion of work; may interpret Company policies, instructions,
specifications, blueprints or job orders for employee understanding; assign duties and work to
employees;
6. Communicates maintenance issues (Breakdown) to production unit manager.
7. Prepare weekly production schedule and manpower distribution as per shift.
8. Check Daily Production Job Report for accuracy - Production quantity, Downtime reasons,
Quality problems, Scrap for grinding/disposal, Material transactions, Man hours, etc.
9. Assists as necessary in orientation and training of new associates for the line
10. Maintain a clean and safe work place in accordance with 5S protocol
11. Investigate and report all work related incidents.
12. Suggest and implement cost-saving ideas and participate in waste management programs.
13. Perform related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates |
• Minimum Diploma in engineering preferably industrial engineering, Mechanical• Must have at least 3-years’ experience in a supervisory role in manufacturing industry preferably onplastic machinery i.e. Extrusion, Blow molding, Thermoforming, Injection moldingIntimate operating knowledge of all available processing equipment and processes• Knowledge of Thermoforming production process and troubleshooting• Ability to motivate others to meet demands established by the schedule• Basic understanding of computers• Good oral and written communication skills• Demonstrated ability to motivate people, assess and develop employee skills.• Demonstrated understanding of the principles and applications associated with manufacturingoperations, maintenance and engineering.• Good interpersonal communication and listening ability.• Ability to work with teams and lead decision-making processes in a team environment• A resident of Alexandria
