- Plan shipments based on product availability and customer requests.
- Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, and brokers to facilitate smooth import processes.
- Track orders to ensure timely deliveries.
- Prepare shipping documents (invoices, purchase orders and bills of lading).
- Coordinate our supply chain procedures to maximize quality of delivery.
- Maintain updated records of orders, suppliers and customers.
- Oversee the levels of our warehouse stock and place orders as needed.
- Provide information about the status of orders.
- Monitor and control import costs, negotiating rates with vendors and carriers.
- Generate and present regular reports on import activities, costs, and performance metrics.
- Address and resolve any issues or delays in the import process.
Work experience as an Import Logistics Administrator for not less than 5 years.Knowledge of logistics software or transport management systems (Maritim and air shipping).Strong knowledge of international trade regulations and customs procedures.Basic accounting knowledge.Excellent organizational and time-management skills.Good communication skills.BSc in Supply chain management, Logistics or relevant field.
