Financial Management & Reporting:

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
  • Present financial reports and recommendations to senior management.

2. Budgeting & Forecasting:

  • Develop and manage annual budgets in coordination with department heads.
  • Provide financial forecasts and cash flow analysis to support business decision-making.
  • Track actual vs. budgeted performance and recommend corrective actions where needed.

3. Taxation & Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with local tax laws, VAT regulations, and corporate tax filings.
  • Liaise with external auditors and tax authorities for audits and regulatory filings.
  • Stay updated on financial regulations and accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP) to ensure compliance.

4. Accounts Payable & Receivable Management:

  • Monitor vendor payments and ensure timely settlement of obligations.
  • Oversee customer invoicing, collections, and credit control to maintain cash flow.
  • Implement strategies to reduce outstanding receivables and improve payment cycles.

5. Internal Controls & Risk Management:

  • Develop and implement financial policies and internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Conduct regular financial audits to detect errors and prevent fraud.
  • Identify financial risks and recommend strategies for mitigation.

6. Team Leadership & Coordination:

  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to best practices.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team capabilities.
  • Work closely with other departments (Procurement, HR, and Operations) to align financial objectives.


Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, ACCA, or CA are preferred.
  • Minimum 7–10 years of experience in accounting and financial management.
  • Prior experience in construction, manufacturing, or service industries is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, taxation, and compliance standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, Tally, or Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling and data analysis.
  • Understanding of IFRS, GAAP, and local financial regulations.
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze financial data and make informed decisions.
  • Leadership & Team Management: Experience in leading and mentoring accounting teams.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to resolve financial discrepancies and improve efficiency.
  • Communication: Strong ability to explain financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in financial reports and compliance.
