Financial Management & Reporting:
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
- Present financial reports and recommendations to senior management.
2. Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Develop and manage annual budgets in coordination with department heads.
- Provide financial forecasts and cash flow analysis to support business decision-making.
- Track actual vs. budgeted performance and recommend corrective actions where needed.
3. Taxation & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with local tax laws, VAT regulations, and corporate tax filings.
- Liaise with external auditors and tax authorities for audits and regulatory filings.
- Stay updated on financial regulations and accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP) to ensure compliance.
4. Accounts Payable & Receivable Management:
- Monitor vendor payments and ensure timely settlement of obligations.
- Oversee customer invoicing, collections, and credit control to maintain cash flow.
- Implement strategies to reduce outstanding receivables and improve payment cycles.
5. Internal Controls & Risk Management:
- Develop and implement financial policies and internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Conduct regular financial audits to detect errors and prevent fraud.
- Identify financial risks and recommend strategies for mitigation.
6. Team Leadership & Coordination:
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to best practices.
- Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team capabilities.
- Work closely with other departments (Procurement, HR, and Operations) to align financial objectives.
Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, ACCA, or CA are preferred.
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience in accounting and financial management.
- Prior experience in construction, manufacturing, or service industries is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, taxation, and compliance standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, Tally, or Microsoft Dynamics).
- Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling and data analysis.
- Understanding of IFRS, GAAP, and local financial regulations.
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze financial data and make informed decisions.
- Leadership & Team Management: Experience in leading and mentoring accounting teams.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to resolve financial discrepancies and improve efficiency.
