Local Procurement Specialist

  • Vendor Management:

- Identify, evaluate, and select local suppliers for various goods and services needed by the company.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with reliable suppliers, negotiating terms to achieve optimal pricing, quality, and delivery timelines.

- Conduct regular assessments of suppliers to ensure consistent quality, compliance, and reliability.

  • Procurement Process:

- Prepare purchase orders and coordinate approvals.

- Negotiate contracts, prices, and payment terms with suppliers.

- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods and services.

  • Cost Management:

- Analyze market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities.

- Conduct competitive bidding and sourcing strategies to optimize procurement costs

  • Inventory and Logistics Support:

- Coordinate with the warehouse and inventory teams to ensure stock levels meet company requirements.

- Address any discrepancies between purchase orders, delivery notes, and invoices.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:

- Work closely with departments such as production, finance, and logistics to understand their purchasing needs.

- Provide support for urgent purchasing requests and resolve related issues.

  • Compliance & Documentation:

- Ensure that all purchasing activities comply with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards.

- Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, delivery timelines, and supplier details for internal audits

and performance tracking.

- Ensure proper documentation for all transactions and maintain a transparent audit trail.

 

 


Specialization in the Electrical Field:Applicants must have hands-on experience in purchasing materials and components specific to the electrical industry, including but not limited to electrical panels, cables, transformers, and circuit breakers. Familiarity with the technical specifications and suppliers in this field is essential to procure high-quality products that meet industry standards.Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.Minimum of 4 years of experience in local purchasing with a Freight forwarding background.Strong negotiation and communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP systems.Good command of English.High standards of ethical conduct, particularly regarding fair vendor relationships and adherence toanti-corruption practices.Knowledge of local market dynamics and regulations.Work Conditions:Location: Fifth Settlement, New Cairo, and 10th of Ramadan CityWork Days: Sunday to Thursday
