Objectives:
The Towing Dispatcher - Sales Associate plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth coordination and management of towing services while actively contributing to sales efforts. This position requires excellent negotiation skills to handle cash calls, secure competitive pricing, and close deals efficiently. As the primary point of contact for customers, the dispatcher is responsible for providing accurate quotes, closing sales, and ensuring a positive customer experience. The role involves organizing the timely dispatch of tow trucks and resources, maintaining effective communication with both customers and drivers to guarantee seamless operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Respond to incoming calls, gather essential information, and prepare accurate quotes.
- Leverage strong negotiation skills to handle cash calls and close deals at the best possible price.
- Accurately enter all service details into the dispatch system for proper tracking.
- Assign the appropriate tow trucks and drivers based on service requirements and availability.
- Ensure timely dispatch of trucks, and confirm that drivers complete Whip-Around inspections before deployment.
- Maintain clear, continuous communication with drivers, providing updates to customers on the status of their service.
- Address customer inquiries and complaints in a professional manner, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Utilize dispatch software to track service requests, update status information, and ensure accurate records are kept.
- Respond swiftly to emergency service calls, coordinating with relevant services as necessary.
- Prepare and maintain detailed records and reports for billing and operational analysis.
- Collaborate closely with other dispatchers, drivers, and team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Share updates, feedback, and important communications with team members via Slack or email.
Strong sales and negotiation skills with a track record of closing sales and maximizing revenue.Proven 4+ years of experience as a Sales Specialist, Customer Service, Dispatching or similar roles, preferably in the towing or transportation industry.Excellent communication, customer service and sales skills.Fluent in English verbally and writtenExcellent multitasking and problem-solving abilities.Familiarity with dispatching, CRM software, GPS tracking systems, and communication devices is a plus.Proficient computer skills and ability to quickly learn new software systems.Knowledge of local geography, traffic patterns, and road regulations is a plus.Ability to remain calm and composed in emergency situations.Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.Working Conditions:Fast-paced, dynamic environment requiring quick thinking and effective problem-solving.Ability to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by the operational needs.
