Managing supplier relations and negotiating contracts, prices, timelines
- Maintaining the supplier database, purchase records and related documentation
- Coordinating with inventory control to determine and manage inventory needs
- Ensuring that all procured items meet the required quality standards and specifications
- Preparing cost estimates and managing budgets
- Improving the database of suppliers according to organization needs
- Working on annual purchasing plan with all the organization's departments
- Creating and implementing procurement strategies that are innovative and cost-effective
- Lead transformational activities to build procurement organizational capabilities and improve procurement efficiency
- Preparing procurement reports
- Ensure adherence to all procurement rules and regulations.
Proven work experience as a Procurement Specialist or similar roleGood working knowledge of purchasing strategiesExcellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skillsStrong analytical thinking and problem-solving skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office and with business application software, purchasing and resource planning systemsA bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management or a similar field preferred
