Senior Financial Analyst

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the preparation of consolidated financial statements for the group, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely submission.
  • Implement and manage robust accounting systems for efficient receivables, payables, payroll, and fixed asset management.
  • Optimize accounting and financial processes for retail operations, including inventory costing, store-level reporting, and sales performance analysis.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes, providing actionable insights to drive financial performance.
  • Coordinate external audits and ensure adherence to financial policies, local regulations, and internal controls across all subsidiaries.
  • Prepare detailed management reports and conduct regular performance analysis of balance sheets and profit & loss statements.
  • Manage and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Support senior management in creating and executing strategic business plans based on financial forecasts and market insights.
  • Analyze and report key retail metrics, such as sales trends, gross margins, and inventory turnover, offering actionable recommendations to improve profitability.
  • Serve as the financial point of contact for retail operations, ensuring effective communication with internal teams, external auditors, and regulatory bodies.



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (essential).
  • 5–8 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial management, with a minimum of 5 years in retail-focused roles.
  • Proven experience in budget preparation, forecasting, and financial planning.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles (e.g., IFRS, GAAP), and compliance standards.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and financial functions.
  • Familiarity with retail-specific financial processes, including inventory management, sales reporting, and gross margin analysis.
  • Experience working in a group or holding company setup with retail operations is a significant advantage.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with diverse teams and stakeholders.
