Job Title: Accounting Manager
Basic Functions and Scope of the Job:
The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing financial reporting, managing the accounting team, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting the business's financial growth through strategic planning and operational improvements.
Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Summary of Responsibilities/Duties:
Primary Duties:
- Prepare Financial Statements: Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial reports, such as income statements and balance sheets.
- Review Monthly Income Statements: Review monthly income statements to identify and correct discrepancies.
- Manage the Team: Lead and support the accounting team to meet deadlines and maintain a high level of productivity.
- Budgeting and Reporting: Create and manage budgets, track spending, and explain any variances to assist in financial planning.
- Ensure Compliance: Establish procedures to ensure financial operations comply with legal regulations and protect the company’s assets.
Secondary Duties:
- Improve Systems: Help evaluate and upgrade accounting software to streamline processes.
- Work with Auditors: Collaborate with auditors to ensure smooth audit processes and provide necessary information.
- Update Policies: Develop and refine internal financial policies and procedures.
- Communicate with Teams: Collaborate with other departments to align financial goals with company objectives.
- Special Projects: Support special projects, such as cost-cutting initiatives or evaluating financial feasibility of new ideas.
- General Assistance: Provide support for other financial-related tasks as needed.
Skills and Qualifications:Professional Certification: (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus.Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial role.Software Proficiency: Skilled in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.Skills: Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Egyptian and Kuwaiti tax laws and regulations.
