- Responsible for the stability, security, and availability of our Hosted Infrastructure
- Installing, decommissioning, configuring, and supporting our software tech stack (.NET and Oracle Databases)
- Covering physical infrastructure, hypervisors, operating systems, and management software such as security, monitoring, and automation tools
- Responsible for various system administration activities such as security patches, grant access, and building servers.
- Collaborating with colleagues from your team and around the business you’ll also take responsibility for investigating and coordinating the resolution of service issues
- Supporting major incidents and identifying any areas for improvements to enhance our customer’s experience ultimately.
- Moving more to a more hybrid approach between on-prem and cloud-based services
A minimum of five years experience in Oracle Database administration.Installation, configuration, and upgrading of Oracle database and related products on Unix, Linux, and WindowsPerform database tuning and performance monitoring.Knowledge of Oracle Middle-ware products.Strong knowledge of physical database design.Ability to perform both Oracle and operating system performance tuning and monitoring.Strong experience with ALL Oracle backup and recovery types.Experience with running databases in physical and Virtualization Environments.Strong knowledge of how Oracle acquires and manages resources.DBA should have sound communication skills with management, development teams, vendors, and systems administrators.Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.Experience with UNIX Like Operating systems.Unix shell scripting.Experience in installing, configuring, and maintaining Oracle RAC.Experience in installing, configuring, and maintaining Data Guard.Plan data growth and changes (capacity planning).Diagnoses, isolates, and de-bugs infrastructure problems and performs problem resolution.Leadership and coaching skills.
