We collaborate with top farms and specialty coffee importers globally to procure the finest specialty graded green coffee beans. Our skilled team of SCA Certified Master Roasters and Baristas use cutting-edge equipment and techniques to deliver exceptional flavor profiles in every batch. We extend our support to partners by assisting in coffee bar setup and providing barista training for optimal coffee handling.


Role and Responsibilities


We are seeking a Senior Accountant to analyze and track all cost data related to Brown Nose, identifying areas for cost reduction and improved efficiency. The cost accountant will work on-site at the head office to manage daily inventory control, ensuring confidence, timeliness, accuracy, and visibility regarding the company’s profitability. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in accounting principles and comfortable working with numbers, showcasing strong attention to detail. To excel in this role, the cost accountant should have previous experience with food and beverage (F&B) costing, a keen eye for spotting numerical discrepancies, and a proven track record of sound business acumen.


Key Responsibilities:


- Contribute to the overall efficient operation of Brown Nose and ensure the company has a clear understanding of its cost structure.

- Build, prepare, and analyze cost reports focusing on product costing, standard cost updates, and analysis of cost variances.

- Perform month-end closing activities, ensuring financial accounts related to revenue and costing are completed accurately and promptly.

- Analyze reports and tools that identify cost exceptions, collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance and predict input costs.

- Analyze and report profit margins by business unit, product, and sales categories.

- Manage inventory accounting, reporting, and reconciliations.

- Monitor inventory records, track itemized invoices, and reconcile them with the inventory balance.

- Align with and monitor periodic stock takes, ensuring inventory snapshots are captured at the moment the stock take is completed, with careful attention to waste, leftovers, damages, and theft.

- Track purchases concerning price updates and quantities requested, highlighting gaps in prices, cost of goods sold (COGS), and inventory.

- Develop and manage a costing accumulation model to capture both variable and fixed costs, determining fixed cost allocations.

- Analyze sales and revenue trends by product and location, reconciling sales to costs and reporting inaccuracies, while identifying potential efficiencies.


Qualifications and Education Requirements


- Experience as an Accountant.

- Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

- Hands-on experience with accounting software, such as Odoo and QuickBooks. **Preferred Skills**

- Advanced MS Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables. - Experience with general ledger functions.

- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills. - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant field.
