A Network Communications Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of communication networks within an organization. This includes both hardware and software components, ensuring seamless data flow and communication across the network.

Key Responsibilities:

• Network Design and Implementation:
  • Plan, design, and implement network infrastructure, including LANs, WANs, and VPNs.
  • Select and install network hardware and software, such as routers, switches, firewalls, and servers.
  • Configure network devices and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols.
• Network Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
  • Monitor network performance and identify and resolve network issues.
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity problems and performance bottlenecks.
  • Implement security measures to protect the network from threats.
• Network Security:
  • Implement and maintain network security policies and procedures.
  • Configure firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and other security measures.
  • Respond to security incidents and perform incident response activities.
• Network Administration:
  • Manage user accounts and network access permissions.
  • Perform network upgrades and maintenance activities.
  • Document network configurations and procedures.
