Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Operations Management
    • Plan, organize, and oversee daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, order fulfilment, and shipping.
    • Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
    • Monitor and manage warehouse Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), such as order accuracy, productivity, and OTIF (On-Time In-Full).
  • Inventory Control
    • Ensure accurate inventory records through regular audits, cycle counts, and reconciliation processes.
    • Implement and maintain inventory control systems to minimize shrinkage and optimize stock levels.
    • Collaborate with planning and delivery teams to forecast demand and plan inventory accordingly.
  • Team Leadership and Development
    • Recruit, train, and manage warehouse staff, including supervisors and associates.
    • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
    • Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and implement professional development plans.
  • Safety and Compliance
    • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
    • Conduct regular safety training and inspections to mitigate risks.
    • Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for warehouse operations.
  • Resource and Budget Management
    • Manage warehouse budgets, including staffing, equipment, and facility maintenance costs.
    • Evaluate and recommend new technologies, equipment, or software to improve operational efficiency.
    • Negotiate contracts with vendors and service providers, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
  • Reporting and Communication
    • Prepare and present operational reports to senior management, highlighting performance metrics and areas for improvement.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including logistics, procurement, and sales, to align warehouse operations with business objectives.
    • Address and resolve escalated issues related to operations, inventory, or customer satisfaction.
Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business is preferred Administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience:
    • 5+ years of experience in warehouse or logistics management.
    • Proven track record in leading teams and managing complex warehouse operations.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
    • Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other supply chain software.
    • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
    • In-depth knowledge of inventory control principles and logistics.
    • Familiarity with safety and compliance standards.
