Job Summary
The Costing Supervisor role plays a crucial role in monitoring and analyzing cost expenditures to ensure the organization is operating efficiently and within budget. This position also helps the management foresee the needed business cost and make recommendations about cost-efficiency.
Role Responsibilities
- Manage day to day operations of the existing cost accounting function from management of current rates to monthly close and analysis.
- Lead the development of a standard costing system.
- Perform the monthly closing activities including preparation of the cost to operate statement along with supporting analysis.
- Proactive analysis of variances and communication of issues and opportunities to operations management.
- Develop metrics and tracking system for major cost drivers.
- Prepare yearly standard cost from collecting data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, components, labor, etc.…
- Coordinate and analyze all cost reports of the company.
- Analyzes actual manufacturing costs and prepares periodic report.
- Comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
- Review and activate BOM.
- Deviations reports and their causes.
- Review all work orders and W/O deviations.
- Estimate all new projects cost.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in a similar field.CMA Certificate is preferred.Solid experience in using Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP system, or similar ERP systems. Very Good to Excellent proficiency in English language.Being a catalyst for change and passionate for growth.A team player with a high level of dedication.Well-organized and responsible with an aptitude for problem-solving and creativity.
