Security Inspector

To safeguard RDMC's physical assets, and personnel within the Egypt division, ensuring a secure and operational environment.

Objectives

  • Alignment with Regulations: Guarantee all RDMC Egypt's Security activities comply with company standards and local Egyptian regulations.
  • Enhanced Security Processes: Collaborate with the Executive Committee to continually improve security protocols and procedures.
  • Expert Guidance: Provide comprehensive support, advice, and training on all aspects of physical security for employees.
  • Security Measurement & Improvement: Implement methods to measure the effectiveness of security measures and identify areas for improvement.
  • Training & Development: Develop and deliver security training programs to equip employees with the necessary skills and knowledge.
  • External Liaison: Maintaining communication with external security authorities, stakeholders and police to ensure compliance with best practices.
  • RDMC Security Expert Support: Assist the RDMC security Expert in integrating physical security measures into the overall RDMC Security framework.
  • Field Expertise: Serve as a dedicated security supervisor within the RATP-Dev group, providing specialized knowledge and support to the Egypt division.

Responsibilities/Duties

Reporting

  • Reports directly to RDMC Security Experts Deputy.
  • Provides regular updates and comprehensive reports on findings.

Responsibilities

Physical Security Assessments:

  • Conduct comprehensive onsite assessments of RDMC facilities and perimeter security.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of existing security measures against identified threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Recommend improvements to physical security infrastructure, procedures, and protocols.

Investigations

  • Lead preliminary investigations into security incidents, breaches, and suspected violations.
  • Collect evidence, interview witnesses, and document findings in detailed reports.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as needed.

Security Provider Oversight

  • Monitor the performance of contracted security service providers within assigned areas.
  • Ensure adherence to contract terms, established security protocols, and best practices.
  • Conduct audits and inspections to identify potential issues and areas for improvement.
  • Provide constructive feedback and guidance to security providers.

Relationship Building

  • Cultivate and maintain positive working relationships with local law enforcement officials.
  • Develop collaborative partnerships with employers and stakeholders within the area of responsibility.
  • Facilitate information sharing and communication to enhance overall security awareness.

Additional Duties

  • Remaining aware of emerging security threats and trends.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities.
  • Being prepared to undertake special assignments as directed by RDMC Security Experts.

Security Accountabilities

  • Promote Security Culture: Foster a positive security mindset among employees by actively promoting security awareness and best practices. Attend all mandatory security meetings and briefings.
  • Compliance Champion: Ensure all physical security measures comply with RDMC's security policy.
  • Incident Management: Lead the proper recording, investigation, and reporting of security incidents (accidents and near misses) to identify root causes and prevent future occurrences.
  • Hazard Identification & Mitigation: Proactively identify and address potential security risks associated with operations. Ensure employees, contractors, and visitors are aware of security procedures and relevant regulations.
  • Accountability for Security: Emphasize that everyone shares responsibility for a secure environment. Encourage staff to report and intervene in observed security violations.
  • Safe Workplace Environment: Work to create a work environment free of physical security risks, protecting both employee health and the environment.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Help RDMC meet all legal obligations related to physical security, including statutory training and reporting requirements.
  • Policy & Procedure Development: Contribute to the development, review, and update of security policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Assist with compliance reviews, general risk assessments, and other security assessments to improve RDMC's overall security posture.

Required Qualifications

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in physical security inspection or related field.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of risk assessment methodologies and security best practices.
  • Strong investigative skills and experience in conducting interviews and collecting evidence.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Proficiency in written and verbal English communication.
  • Ability to work in a challenging work environment, under potential pressure, independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and security-related software applications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Military background with security experience preferred.
  • Experience working in similar industries or environments.

Experience

  • At least 3-5 years of relevant experience.
