Job Overview


The Procurement Indirect Category Senior Manager is responsible for managing and optimizing the procurement of indirect goods and services, such as IT, marketing, sales, facilities, services and other non-core business supplies. This role ensures cost efficiency, contract compliance, supplier management, and strategic sourcing across various categories, supporting the overall procurement goals and operational needs of the organization


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute category management strategies for indirect procurement categories, ensuring alignment with business goals and cost-saving targets.
  • Conduct market research, supplier analysis, and benchmarking to identify opportunities for cost reductions, risk mitigation, and process improvements.
  • Lead supplier negotiations, contract development, and vendor relationship management to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., IT, HR, Marketing, Operations, Development, Admin, Sales) to understand their requirements, identify key spend areas, and develop procurement plans accordingly.
  • Drive the sourcing process, including RFPs (Request for Proposals), RFQs (Request for Quotations), and contract execution.
  • Monitor supplier performance and compliance with contractual obligations, addressing any issues or improvements required.
  • Ensure adherence to procurement policies, processes, and legal guidelines, maintaining accurate documentation and reporting.
  • Develop and track KPIs related to cost savings, supplier performance, and procurement efficiency.
  • Stay informed of market trends and emerging best practices in procurement and category management.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or related field.
  • 7- 10 years of experience in procurement or category management, specifically in indirect categories such as IT, marketing, or services.
  • Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Analytical mindset with experience in cost analysis and strategic sourcing.
  • Familiarity with procurement software/tools (e.g., SAP).
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple categories simultaneously.
