Job Description
Job Title: Ecommerce Specialist
Department: Ecommerce
Reporting to: Business Development Manager
What you’ll be doing
The E-Commerce Specialist is responsible for managing and optimizing online sales channels to maximize revenue and customer satisfaction. This role focuses on enhancing the online shopping experience, driving traffic to e-commerce platforms, and ensuring efficient operations across the e-commerce supply chain.
Major Duties:
- Manage and update the e-commerce website, ensuring accurate and up-to-date product listings, descriptions, pricing, and visuals.
- Collaborate with web developers or designers to enhance website performance and user experience.
- Monitor site performance, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure optimal site speed and functionality.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to create promotions, discounts, and seasonal campaigns.
- Coordinate with inventory and supply chain teams to ensure product availability and timely fulfillment.
- Monitor stock levels, update inventory records, and oversee restocking or discontinuation of products.
- Respond to customer inquiries or complaints promptly, maintaining high customer satisfaction.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, operations, and IT, to align e-commerce strategies with overall business objectives.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors or platforms such as payment gateways, marketplaces, or fulfillment partners.
- Manage order processing, returns, and customer service issues related to e-commerce transactions.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, E-Commerce, or a related field. 2–4 years of experience in e-commerce or digital marketing roles.Excellent command of English language.Experience with e-commerce platforms like Shopify. Data-driven mindset with excellent analytical skills.Exceptional communication and organizational skills.Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.Experience with marketplace platforms like Amazon, Noon and Jumia.
