We are looking for a Technical Office Design Engineer to join our team. This role involves working in the technical office to develop detailed engineering designs, create accurate drawings, and ensure smooth coordination between the design and construction teams. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring designs comply with project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.
Key responsibilities:
• Design and Drafting: Develop detailed architectural or engineering designs, prepare drawings, and update project plans using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
• Technical Coordination: Liaise with project managers, contractors, and site engineers to ensure designs align with construction plans and specifications.
• Compliance and Standards: Ensure all designs comply with safety standards, building codes, and environmental regulations.
• Document Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all technical documentation, including design plans, technical reports, and revisions.
• Analyze and Improve Designs: Review and refine existing designs, ensuring they meet functionality, budget, and safety criteria.
• Problem Solving: Provide creative solutions to design-related issues that arise during the design and construction phases.
• Support Project Management: Assist in creating project timelines, resource planning, and procurement of materials to ensure timely project delivery.
• Reporting and Presentations: Prepare and present design updates, progress reports, and technical documentation to stakeholders and project managers.
• 5-7 years of experience in a technical office role, preferably in architectural engineering design.• CAD Proficiency: Strong knowledge of CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design tools).• Knowledge of Building Codes: Solid understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.• Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients, contractors, and team members.• Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail in design, documentation, and project specifications.• Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving ability and analytical thinking to resolve design challenges.• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture Engineering, or a related field.• Location: Based in Alexandria, or willing to relocate.
