About the Role
The Education Business Manager will lead and oversee the education division of SPORTAL, ensuring the successful development, implementation, and management of our online education initiatives. This role combines strategic planning, operational leadership, and project management to scale our educational offerings and deliver exceptional value to our students.
This position offers a clear progression path to senior leadership roles, such as Head of Education or Director of Education.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute the overall strategy for SPORTAL’s education division.
- Identify growth opportunities in online education, partnerships, and new course offerings.
Operations and Project Management
- Oversee the development, delivery, and management of online courses and programs.
- Manage course production workflows, including content creation, filming, editing, and LMS integration.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (content creators, marketing, platform administrators) to ensure timely project completion.
- Implement project management tools and methodologies to streamline operations.
LMS Management
- Oversee the day-to-day operation of the LMS, ensuring seamless user experiences for students and instructors.
- Monitor course performance metrics (engagement, completion rates, student feedback) and drive continuous improvement.
Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor a growing team of education professionals, including instructional designers and support staff.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability within the education division.
Partnership Development
- Work closely with external partners to co-create and deliver educational content.
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful outcomes.
Financial and Performance Oversight
- Set and monitor budgets for the education division.
- Analyze performance metrics and prepare regular reports for senior leadership.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in education management, online learning, EdTech or a related field.
- Proven track record in project management and operations.
- Experience with LMS platforms and instructional design principles is preferred.
Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and project management capabilities.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive decision-making.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred:
- PMP or similar project management certification.
- Experience in the sports industry or familiarity with sports education.
