Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Pre Sales Engineer - Security Systems at MTI Holding in Cairo, Egypt. The Pre Sales Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support, communicating with customers, driving sales, and delivering excellent customer service on a daily basis.
Job Description
- Design, develop, and implement light current systems and solutions, such as access control, CCTV, radars, alarms, network infrastructure, thermal cameras…) .
- Interface with customers to analyze their business challenges and deliver product presentations.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure successful implementation of projects while minimizing costs.
- Assist project managers in developing detailed project plans and work breakdown structures for large projects.
- Write proposals and statements of work for customers.
- Verify and confirm bills of quantities (BOQ) and other expenses.
- Present designs and workflow processes to customers, collaborating with suppliers to determine the best delivery periods.
- Utilize extensive engineering knowledge to design security and light current systems, such as Access Control, CCTV, Audio Visual, intruder Alarm, and structured cabling.
- Identify and address hidden or unrealized customer requirements, gaining consensus on these requirements.
- Ability to translate ambiguous customer needs into specific and deliverable requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
- 5-10 years of experience in light current systems, including Fiber Optics, CCTV, Access Control, BMS, etc.
- Ability to develop relationships and effectively communicate with high-level customer technical staff.
- Advanced understanding of technical terminology related to company products and services.
- Strong presentation skills at an advanced level.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Fluency in both spoken and written Arabic and English.
- Experience with VMS Milestone and Genetec preferred. Familiarity with access control systems or Honeywell, as well as VMware ESXi.
- Proficient in using AutoCAD is a must.
