Sales Engineer – Inspection and Calibration

ASSET is seeking a dynamic, motivated, results-driven and skilled Sales Engineer to drive the sales of inspection and calibration business of Baker Hughes portfolio in Egypt. The ideal candidate will combine technical knowledge with sales expertise to lead business of industrial inspection and calibration solutions, including radiography, computed tomography (CT), remote visual inspection (RVI), ultrasound (UT), robotic inspection systems, and calibration for pressure instruments plus electrical signals.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Activities:

  1. As this role is outdoor sales, proven ability to travel (90% on road – 10% at office).
  2. Effective communication skills and cooperation with all business stakeholders inside and outside the company.
  3. Identify, target, and engage prospective customers in industries such as oil & gas, manufacturing, aerospace, and energy.
  4. Proven ability to manage sales forecast, sales funnel, and sales opportunities.
  5. Proven ability to manage complex sales, negotiation skills, and closing deals.
  6. Proven ability to structure creative commercially and technically sound quality deals as well as fully manage associated contractual and technical issues.
  7. Build a sustainable business diversified between multiple kinds of business and multiple customer sectors.
  8. Build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.
  9. Present and demonstrate inspection and calibration solutions to potential clients.
  10. Proven understanding customer needs to determine technical solution, addressing technical inquiries effectively, and assisting customers in selecting the right solutions according their application needs.
  11. Co-operation with all team members to insure smooth delivery and perfect fulfillment.
  12. Proven ability to develop new market sectors, customers, and applications.
  13. Support marketing events, seminars, business travel inside and outside Egypt.

Market Research:

  1. Monitor market trends and identify business opportunities within the Egyptian market.
  2. Gather competitive intelligence to support strategic sales planning.

Administrative Duties:

  1. Prepare and deliver technical and commercial proposals.
  2. Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, accurate sales forecasts, and requested activity reports.
  3. Proven ability to use enterprise systems ERP / CRM.

Educational background Bachelor’s degree in:Engineering: Mechanical, Material, Electrical, or Petroleum.Experience:3 - 5 years of experience working as a sales engineer, or product manager in Egyptian market, and preferably in industrial solutions or related fields.Technical Expertise:Proven inspection and/or calibration technical knowledge and market experience.Proven ability to provide in-depth knowledge of industrial inspection and/or calibration technologies and their applications.Collaborate with technical teams to customize solutions based on client needs.NDT level 1, and level 2 are a plus.Calibration technical certificates are a plus.Skills:Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.Ability to understand complex technical systems and explain them to non-technical clients.Proven ability to achieve sales targets and manage client accounts effectively.Fluent English, written and spoken.
