Job Summary:
The Senior Cost Control Engineer is responsible for managing the overall cost control process for construction projects. This includes preparing detailed budgets, monitoring project expenditures, forecasting costs, and ensuring financial compliance. The role requires strong leadership and technical expertise to guide junior engineers and support project teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive cost control plans and budgets for projects.
- Track, analyze, and report project costs, including identifying and addressing variances.
- Forecast project expenditures and assess financial risks.
- Review and approve cost estimates, invoices, and change orders.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior cost control engineers.
- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to optimize project cost efficiency.
- Prepare detailed cost control reports for senior management and clients.
- Ensure adherence to financial and contractual guidelines.
Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.5+ years of experience in cost control or project management.Proficiency in cost control tools and software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Excel).Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.Strong understanding of construction project lifecycles and cost management principles.Effective communication and report-writing abilities.Good user of ERP system .
