Patient Care and Management:
- Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments to diagnose mental health conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including psychotherapy, medication management, and lifestyle recommendations.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Provide crisis intervention and manage acute mental health episodes.
Education and Advocacy:
- Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
- Advocate for mental health awareness and reduce stigma within the community.
Collaboration and Multidisciplinary Coordination:
- Work closely with psychologists, social workers, and primary care providers to ensure holistic patient care.
- Participate in case discussions and contribute to the development of integrated care plans.
- Liaise with external partners and referral networks as needed.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Generate reports and participate in monitoring and evaluation processes to ensure quality of care.
Policy and Compliance:
- Adhere to organizational policies, procedures, and professional ethical standards.
- Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and confidentiality protocols.
Education:Medical degree (Master's, doctorate, or equivalent) specializing in Psychiatry.Valid license to practice as a psychiatrist in the relevant jurisdiction.Experience:Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in Psychiatry (experience with refugees and asylum seekers is a plus).Proven ability to manage a wide range of psychiatric conditions, including trauma-related disorders.
