Sales Representative

Key Responsibilities:

Market Research and Lead Generation:

  • Conduct online market research to identify new export opportunities and potential clients in target regions.
  • Use email campaigns, digital tools, and online resources to generate leads and expand the client base.
  • Stay updated on market trends, customer needs, and competitive products to identify opportunities for sales growth.

Sales and Business Development:

  • Initiate contact with potential international clients and distributors via email and virtual meetings (limited phone calls).
  • Craft tailored email proposals, product presentations, and follow-up communication to close deals.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery details virtually, ensuring agreements are in line with company policies.
    Export Documentation and Logistics:
  • Collaborate with logistics and export teams to ensure timely shipment of orders and proper documentation.
  • Use email to confirm order details, shipping schedules, and delivery updates.
  • Ensure accurate export documentation (invoices, contracts, shipping documents) is prepared and sent promptly.

Experience:Proven experience in sales, preferably in agriculture, food exports, or the fruit industry.Experience with export procedures, international trade regulations, and logistics is highly desirable.Strong knowledge of the strawberry market and export trends.Sales Skills:Strong negotiation skills and ability to close deals effectively.Ability to build and maintain relationships with international clients and distributors.Excellent presentation and communication skills.Language Proficiency:Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is essential.Knowledge of additional languages (such as Spanish, German) can be an advantage for dealing with international clients.Knowledge of Export Procedures:Understanding of customs regulations, shipping logistics, and international payment systems.Familiarity with the documentation needed for exporting perishable goodsTechnical Skills:Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Ability to analyze sales data and provide insights into market trends.Problem-Solving Abilities:Ability to handle customer complaints or issues effectively and maintain customer satisfaction.Solution-oriented with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
