Category Section Head

. Develop and implement strategic plans for the assigned category to drive sales, profitability, and market share growth.
· Manage the selection of products within the category, ensuring the range meets customer demand, trends, and quality standards.
· Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure competitive pricing, quality control, and timely product delivery.
· Work with the pricing team to develop competitive pricing strategies and promotional plans for the category.
· Monitor and optimize stock levels, ensuring availability of products while avoiding overstocking.
· Manage the category’s budget, forecasting sales, tracking performance, and analyzing financial reports to identify areas of improvement.
· Lead and mentor a team of category specialists or section managers, providing direction, training, and support to ensure high performance.
· Coordinate with marketing, sales, and operations teams to ensure smooth execution of plans and initiatives.
· Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for the category, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
· Ensure that product offerings are aligned with customer needs and expectations, providing an exceptional shopping experience.

Academic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or Equivalent (graduated from faculty of commerce)· Years of Experience: 5+ years· Very good English & computer skills· Strong understanding of market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor strategies.· Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.· Strong negotiation and communication skills.· Leadership experience with the ability to manage and motivate a team.· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and category management software.· Understanding of financial modelling and budgeting.· Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
