Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Mechanical Design Manager to lead our mechanical engineering team in the design, development, and optimization of production lines for food manufacturing facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical design, a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, and a proven ability to manage a team of engineers. The role requires excellent project management skills, technical expertise, and the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of mechanical design engineers, ensuring effective collaboration, skill development, and motivation.
• Oversee the assignment of design projects, establish priorities, and allocate resources effectively to meet deadlines and deliverables.
• Provide technical guidance and support for solving complex engineering challenges.
• Direct the design, development, and optimization of mechanical components and systems for food production lines, ensuring they meet performance, cost, and safety requirements.
• Manage the creation of detailed design specifications, 3D models, and engineering drawings using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
• Collaborate with electrical, automation, and process engineering teams to integrate mechanical design with other aspects of the production line.
• Ensure designs comply with industry standards and regulations, such as food safety and hygiene standards.
• Oversee the planning, design, and execution of projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality targets are met.
• Develop project schedules and coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth implementation and delivery of production lines.
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with design and manufacturing processes.
• Lead efforts to continually improve the design process, identifying opportunities for efficiency gains, cost savings, and innovation in product design.
• Stay current on emerging technologies and trends in mechanical engineering, automation, and food production, and apply these insights to improve product offerings.
• Work closely with sales, customer service, and production teams to understand client needs and translate them into technical solutions.
• Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders, ensuring the mechanical design solutions meet or exceed expectations.
• Participate in design reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring the quality of designs.
