Accounting Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Manager to oversee all aspects of our financial operations. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices. You will be responsible for managing a team of accountants, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and driving process improvements.

Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting:
  • Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.   
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).   
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to management and other stakeholders.
• Team Management:
  • Recruit, hire, and train accounting staff.
  • Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide coaching and mentorship.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Process Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
  • Implement new accounting systems and technologies.
  • Develop and maintain strong internal controls.
• Tax Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations.
  • Prepare and file tax returns.
  • Manage tax audits and inquiries.
• Budgeting and Forecasting:
  • Develop and manage annual budgets.
  • Prepare forecasts and projections.
  • Monitor actual performance against budget and forecast.
