Job Description: BIM Engineer (Junior Level)

 

Position Title:

Junior BIM Engineer (Preferred: Female Candidate)

 

 

 

Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.• 1 to 3 years of professional experience in BIM and shop drawing preparation.• Proficiency in Revit for BIM modeling and AutoCAD for detailed shop drawings.• Advanced knowledge of BIM workflows, standards, and project collaboration techniques.• Strong understanding of shop drawings for architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines.• Familiarity with clash detection tools (e.g., Navisworks).• Residency in 6th of October City or nearby is mandatory. Responsibilities: 1. Modeling and Design Coordination:• Develop accurate and detailed 3D BIM models for architectural, structural, or MEP disciplines.• Ensure all BIM models comply with project requirements and standards.• Coordinate designs from multiple engineering disciplines to detect and resolve clashes.2. Shop Drawings Production:• Prepare detailed and accurate shop drawings for construction, including layouts, sections, and details.• Review and update shop drawings to reflect project changes or consultant comments.• Ensure all shop drawings meet technical standards and are approved for execution.3. Clash Detection and Reporting:• Conduct clash detection and prepare detailed reports using Navisworks or similar tools.• Collaborate with other team members to resolve detected clashes efficiently.4. Documentation and Standards:• Maintain project documentation, ensuring all models and drawings are filed correctly.• Ensure all BIM deliverables are compliant with project standards (LOD, naming conventions, etc.).• Support the development and adherence to company-specific BIM standards and workflows.5. Team Collaboration and Communication:• Work closely with architects, engineers, and contractors to align designs and models with project goals.• Assist the site team with any technical clarifications related to BIM models or shop drawings.• Communicate effectively to ensure deadlines are met without compromising quality.6. Quality Assurance:• Perform regular checks on BIM models and shop drawings for accuracy and completeness.• Identify inconsistencies and errors in designs and suggest practical solutions.7.
