ABOUT YOUR ROLE:

To carry out quality inspection to ensure the shipped products conform Kontoor's quality requirement and timely execution.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

You will be critical in delivering these activities but not limited to:

• Follow up factory is following fabric handling process against Kontoor SOP’s. (Fabric inspection/Color continuity/Wash Blanket/Shade grouping/Shrinkage and distortion/ Pattern grouping).
• Review pilot run samples against most updated PDM/approved trim card and approved JSS sample and release report.
• Giving adjustment decisions for pattern if there is any measurement discrepancy found at pilot run samples.
• After pilot run approvals given, initiate and conduct PP meeting with all factory representatives from Cutting/Fabric/Stores/Sewing/Laundry/Packing and Merchandising along with Wash Tech.
• Giving approvals to go ahead bulk production after pilot run samples approvals.
• Conducting in line for sewing on daily basis and release reports for improvements.
• Follow up to make sure all standard our SOP’s are in place in each department on daily basis.
• Review and make sure all batches receive from after wash, matches with Kontoor's washing standards.
• Conduct in line audit for finishing garments on daily basis.
• Follow up factory use 100% measurements on key 5 points at finishing.
• Review QIP (Quality Improvement Samples) samples before release to LWHK office.
• Review CTL (Consumer Testing Lab) samples before release to LWUS office.
• Follow up factory conduct pre final audit on every PO.
• Follow up Assign QC program on final audits and conduct shadow audit for every PO.
• Input final inspection data to the QC system. ( NGC and sPec )
• Conduct PQI/CAP follow up audit on monthly basis for improvements.
• Increase the customer’s satisfaction & retain the customer’s expectation.
• Prevent the customer’s return due to the quality issue & safety issue.
• Keep the cross-functional relationship between QA and MR.
• Working together with Quality Assurance (QA) team to assess product problems and brainstorm solutions in the factory.
• Inspecting production machinery and employees to make sure the production process runs smoothly.
• Estimating time involved in assuring each product's quality.
• Meeting project deadlines on assigned quality improvement projects.
• Assessing whether employees need training to prevent mistakes during production.
• Suggesting improvements to company infrastructure and processes to prevent future mistakes during production.
• Communicating with QA manager about existing defects and how to prevent them in future products.
• Ensure conformity to contractual obligations, government regulations and law.
• Ensure compliance to ethical standards.
• Identify potential compliance risks.
