1. Plan, design, and collaborate with vendors and service providers to evaluate, procure, and implement new hardware, software, and services to support business requirements.
2. Develop and implement best practices for system configuration, performance optimization, and security hardening to ensure maximum reliability and efficiency.
3. Manage and operate different infrastructure systems such as different Hardware (Servers, Storage, RAID settings, etc.), Virtualization systems, Operating systems (Windows/Linux based), Application servers, File Servers, Backup, and recovery systems along with servers’ Endpoint protection.
4. Conduct regular maintenance of servers, including installing software updates, performing upgrades, and managing hardware replacements and expansions to optimize performance and reliability.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify critical data and systems requiring backup and develop appropriate strategies for data backup, retention, and disaster recovery to minimize the risk of data loss.
6. Perform extensive troubleshooting on the above-mentioned services as well as provide clear and descriptive resolution for the users.
7. Ensure the availability, continuity, and security of various systems by monitoring logs and implementing proactive measures to detect and mitigate potential issues using diagnostic software and technical troubleshooting processes to ensure smooth operation.
8. Participate actively in planning and executing platform/application installation, design, and upgrade.
9. Document all actions taken or needed in incidents and service requests.
10. Develop and document operational procedures to standardize processes and ensure efficient system management.
11. Continuously participate in identifying technical improvements to decrease any administrative overhead.
