The Faculty of Computing and Information Sciences (CIS) at Egypt University of Informatics is dedicated to providing high-quality education and advancing knowledge and innovation in the computer science domain. CIS seeks a highly motivated and skilled Lab Engineer to join the faculty dynamic and dedicated team for full-time employment.
Job Requirements:
- Manage and supervise the daily operations of computer science laboratories, ensuring all equipment and software are functioning optimally.
- Assist faculty and students with preparing laboratory experiments, projects, and practical sessions.
- Collaborate with the IT Department to ensure the lab is up-to-date and functioning efficiently.
- Ensure the implementation of safety protocols for lab usage.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to students and staff.
- Updates the faculty’s inventory and lab requirements periodically and coordinates with vendors for procurement and maintenance.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in computer science and integrate new technologies into the lab environment.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Demonstrated 1-3 years of experience in a laboratory or technical support role.Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking.Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Ability to work independently with limited supervision.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in organizing and preparing labs, including setting up equipment and ensuring all materials are ready for use.
