Job responsibilities:
1. Managing all freight types (Air, Sea, Land) Import and Export & Managing freight transportation activities, including route planning, carrier selection, and shipment tracking.
2. Negotiating contracts with carriers and third-party logistics providers to optimize costs and services.
3. Monitoring shipment schedules and proactively addressing any delays or issues that may arise.
4. Ensuring compliance with transportation regulations and industry standards.
5. Analyzing freight data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
6. Providing guidance and support to junior staff members in the operations team.
7. Collaborating with other departments such as procurement, sales, and customer service to coordinate logistics activities effectively.
8. Implementing process improvements and best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
1. Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.2. Several years of experience in freight operations, logistics, or supply chain management.3. In-depth knowledge of transportation modes, including air, ocean, rail, and road.4. Familiarity with international shipping regulations, customs clearance procedures, and trade compliance.5. Proficiency in using transportation management systems (TMS) and other logistics software.6. Strong analytical skills to assess and improve logistics processes and efficiency.7. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities to interact with carriers, vendors, and internal teams.8. Leadership qualities to guide and mentor junior team members.9. Problem-solving skills to address operational challenges and optimize freight movements.10. Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
