Procurement Specialist

As a Procurement Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the efficient and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services for the organization. Your responsibilities will encompass strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, vendor management, and data analysis using tools such as Microsoft Office, Power Point and Power BI. This position requires a strong understanding of procurement processes, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in leveraging data for informed decision-making.

 


1. **Strategic Sourcing: **   - Identify potential suppliers, conduct market research, and evaluate their capabilities.   - Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define procurement requirements and specifications.   - Develop and implement sourcing strategies to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality. 2. **Vendor Management: **   - Establish and maintain relationships with vendors to optimize terms and conditions.   - Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms to achieve favorable agreements.   - Monitor vendor performance, address issues, and identify opportunities for improvement. 3. **Procurement Process: **   - Oversee the end-to-end procurement process, from requisition to purchase order issuance.   - Ensure compliance with organizational policies, legal regulations, and ethical standards.   - Streamline and improve procurement processes for efficiency and effectiveness. 4. **Data Analysis: **   - Utilize Microsoft Office and Power BI to analyze procurement data and generate meaningful insights.   - Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs).   - Identify trends, opportunities, and areas for cost savings through data analysis. 5. **Contract Management: **   - Manage contracts throughout their lifecycle, ensuring compliance and timely renewals.   - Work closely with legal and finance teams to mitigate risks associated with contracts.   - Maintain a comprehensive contract database for reference and reporting. 6. **Communication and Collaboration: **   - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and priorities.   - Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and vendors to facilitate smooth procurement processes.   - Provide training and support to end-users on procurement policies and procedures. **Qualifications: **- Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.- Proven experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, and contract negotiation.- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Power BI.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in procurement.- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. **Preferred Skills: **- Certification in procurement or supply chain management.- Experience with ERP systems.- Familiarity with industry-specific procurement challenges and solutions.
