· Lead and oversee all activities within the microbiology section, ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulations.
· Conduct microbiological testing for raw materials, finished products, and in-process samples to ensure product safety and effectiveness.
· Develop and validate microbiological testing protocols, methods, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
· Manage a team of microbiologists, including training, mentoring, and performance evaluation.
· Investigate microbiological issues, such as contamination, and implement corrective actions to resolve them effectively.
· Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), ISO standards, and other relevant regulations.
· Collaborate with R&D and production teams to support new product development and process optimization.
· Prepare and submit detailed reports, including trends, test results, and recommendations, to management.
· Manage and maintain laboratory equipment, supplies, and documentation in accordance with internal and external audit requirements.
· Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Faculty of Science.· A minimum of 4 years of experience in microbiology within the FMCG industry, preferably in cosmetics or detergents.· Strong knowledge of microbiological techniques, quality control systems, and regulatory standards (e.g., GMP, ISO 17025).· Experience in team leadership or managerial roles within a laboratory setting.· Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.· Proficiency in using microbiological laboratory equipment and tools.· Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively across teams.
