Job Summary:

The Mechanical Maintenance Section Head is responsible for overseeing the mechanical maintenance team, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of all mechanical systems and equipment. This role involves planning, coordinating, and executing maintenance activities, as well as leading a team of technicians to achieve operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the mechanical maintenance team, providing guidance and support.
• Conduct performance evaluations and facilitate training and development for team members.
• Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for mechanical equipment.
• Coordinate with other departments to minimize downtime and optimize maintenance activities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues, ensuring timely repairs and maintenance.
• Review and approve technical documentation, including maintenance procedures and reports.
• Safety & Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations in all maintenance activities.
• Promote a culture of safety within the maintenance team.
• Organize and conduct regular training sessions to enhance the technical skills and knowledge of the maintenance team.
• Foster a collaborative team environment that encourages innovation and continuous learning
• Identify opportunities for improving maintenance processes and equipment reliability.
• Implement best practices and new technologies to enhance maintenance efficiency.
• Reporting:
• Lead and manage mechanical projects, including equipment installations, upgrades, and overhauls.
• Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure successful completion.
• Prepare and present reports on maintenance activities, performance metrics, and equipment status to management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, with 4 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience in oil & gas industry is preferred.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Proficient in maintenance management software and tools.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
