- Design and develop mechanical systems, components, and machinery for food production lines, including conveyors, mixers, packaging machines, and more.
- Use CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) to create 3D models, detailed technical drawings, and assembly diagrams.
- Ensure that designs are efficient, cost-effective, and meet food industry hygienic and safety standards.
- Work with cross-functional teams (production, electrical engineering, R&D) to integrate mechanical designs with other systems.
- Participate in all stages of the product lifecycle, from concept and design to prototype, testing, and final production.
- Assist in the selection of materials, components, and suppliers for the manufacturing process.
- Collaborate with the production team to resolve design issues during fabrication and assembly, ensuring smooth implementation of designs.
- Analyze mechanical systems and equipment performance, recommending improvements for increased efficiency, safety, and durability.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues, providing solutions to resolve problems that arise in both the design phase and during production
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvements without compromising product quality.
- Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, manuals, assembly instructions, and maintenance guidelines.
- Ensure all designs comply with industry standards, including food safety regulations (HACCP, GMP), hygiene requirements, and environmental guidelines.
- Participate in design reviews and ensure the accuracy and completeness of engineering drawings and documentation.
