Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead and supervise the Quality Assurance team, providing guidance and support to ensure high standards of performance.
- Develop and implement a structured work plan for the QA section, aligning with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and identify training needs for QA personnel.
- Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the QA team.
Regulatory Compliance & Auditing:
- Ensure that all operations, maintenance activities, and services comply with relevant aviation regulations (e.g., FAA, EASA, ICAO, or local aviation authorities).
- Plan and execute internal and external audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and company procedures.
- Oversee the preparation and coordination of regulatory inspections and audits, ensuring corrective actions are taken for any non-compliance findings.
- Stay updated with changes in aviation regulations and industry best practices to ensure the organization’s adherence to current standards.
Quality Control & Monitoring:
- Develop, implement, and monitor quality assurance programs and processes for maintenance, repairs, and inspections of aircraft, systems, and components.
- Conduct inspections, reviews, and audits of aircraft maintenance, operational procedures, and safety practices.
- Analyze data from audits, inspections, and performance reviews to identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure the proper documentation of quality checks, reports, and corrective actions in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Continuous Improvement:
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the QA department by identifying inefficiencies, risks, or opportunities for improvement.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes for non-conformances or incidents related to quality and safety.
- Promote the implementation of industry best practices, lean processes, and Six Sigma methodologies to optimize operational efficiency.
Training & Development:
- Develop and deliver training programs for QA staff and other relevant teams (e.g., maintenance, flight operations) on quality assurance processes, safety standards, and regulatory changes.
- Ensure that all personnel are aware of and adhere to quality and safety protocols.
- Foster cross-department collaboration to enhance awareness of quality standards across the organization.
Reporting & Documentation:
- Prepare and present regular reports on QA performance, audit findings, corrective actions, and improvement initiatives to senior management.
- Maintain accurate records of all audits, inspections, non-conformances, and corrective actions.
- Ensure all QA documentation is in compliance with regulatory and company standards, including the retention of records for future reference and audits.
Safety Oversight:
- Ensure that safety is always a top priority by incorporating safety standards into quality assurance processes.
- Collaborate with safety management teams to integrate safety management systems (SMS) with QA functions.
- Investigate incidents or accidents related to quality failures and provide recommendations for improvements.
Education:Bachelor’s degree in Aviation, Aeronautical Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.Experience:Minimum of 5–8 years of experience in quality assurancePreferred Experience in Engineering Consulting FirmsHands-on experience with aircraft maintenance and inspections, safety protocols, and aviation regulations.Experience in managing audits, inspections, and compliance activities within the aviation sector.Certifications:Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or equivalent certification (e.g., ISO 9001).
