Quality Assurance Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Management System (QMS):
    • Develop, implement, and maintain a robust QMS that aligns with global food safety standards such as GlobalGAP, BRC, and IFS.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant local, national, and international food safety regulations.
    • Conduct regular internal audits and corrective action plans to maintain QMS effectiveness.
  • Product Quality:
    • Oversee the quality of raw materials, intermediate products, and finished goods.
    • Establish and enforce strict quality control standards for fresh and frozen fruits and vegetables, as well as concentrated products.
    • Monitor and analyze quality data to identify trends and implement corrective actions.
  • Laboratory Management:
    • Manage the quality control laboratory, ensuring accurate and timely testing of products.
    • Oversee the calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
    • Collaborate with external laboratories for specialized testing as needed.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead and mentor a team of quality assurance professionals.
    • Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
    • Provide training and development opportunities to team members.
  • Customer Relations:
    • Build strong relationships with customers and suppliers.
    • Address customer complaints and concerns promptly and professionally.
    • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to ensure product quality meets customer expectations.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    • Stay informed of evolving food safety regulations and industry best practices.
    • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including labeling, traceability, and allergen management.
    • Represent the company in regulatory audits and inspections.

Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Agriculture, or related field.Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) preferred.8-12 years of experience in quality assurance management within the food industry, preferably in fresh produce and processing.Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, including HACCP and GMP.Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software.Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
