We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Tendering Engineer to join our team and contribute to the successful submission of competitive and compelling bids for high-value projects and tenders.
Key Responsibilities
- Tender Preparation: Review, prepare, and manage tender documents, ensuring compliance with client requirements, industry standards, and company policies.
- Cost Estimation: Develop accurate cost estimates for projects, coordinating with relevant departments to gather essential data for material, labor, and time requirements.
- Bid Strategy: Assist in formulating competitive bid strategies in alignment with company objectives, market trends, and client needs.
- Technical and Commercial Analysis: Evaluate the technical and commercial aspects of tenders, ensuring feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with industry standards.
- Client Interaction: Engage with clients to understand project scopes, clarify requirements, and address technical queries in a timely manner.
- Documentation and Submission: Prepare, review, and submit all required tender documentation, including technical proposals, price schedules, and compliance statements, adhering to deadlines.
- Post-Tender Evaluation: Conduct debriefing sessions for won/lost tenders, analyzing performance to improve future bids and refining tendering processes.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the sales, technical, procurement, and finance teams to ensure accurate and well-supported tenders.
Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or a similar technical discipline.3 to 5 years of proven experience in tendering, cost estimation, or proposal development, ideally within the oil and gas industry.Strong knowledge of tendering processes, contract terms, and industry standards in oil and gas.Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and relevant software for tendering and cost estimation.Excellent analytical and numerical skills, with an eye for detail and accuracy.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with clients and team members.Ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet strict deadlines.Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental requirements in oil and gas is an advantage.
