Acquisition Specialist

The Acquisition Specialist leads the acquisition of content for specific segments. He/She identifies opportunities to acquire content and manages all aspects of the acquisition process. He/She evaluates content from both creative and commercial perspectives and recommends their acquisition. He/She also leads a team that delivers acquisition opportunities.

Roles & responsibilities

  • Analyse content consumption patterns to identify key trends across genres or customer segments.
  • Build an understanding of audience needs and expectations.
  • Engage industry bodies, content producers and other key industry players.
  • Execute the contracting process following successful licensing negotiations.
  • Focus on acquisitions based on stock fulfilment requirements for specific genres or time slots.
  • Identify content acquisition opportunities.
  • Inspect content acquisition contracts for adherence to licensing terms and overall risk management.
  • Manage research projects to identify potential content concepts and types.
  • Oversee accurate recording of rights agreements in the rights management systems.
  • Perform analysis and valuation of new deals to support decision making.
  • Provide input and assist in content licensing negotiations for financial analysis and technical requirements

Job Requirement:3 years plus of digital media sales experienceExperience selling SEO is a plusA proven track record of achieving and exceeding goals in a digital media sales role.Able to work/learn in fast paced environment.Team playerArabic desirable
