- Capturing high-quality audio during recordings, whether in a studio, live setting, or on location.
- Setting up microphones, mixers, and other audio equipment, ensuring everything is functioning properly before sessions.
- Balancing and adjusting audio levels, effects, and EQ to create the final mix, ensuring clarity and quality.
- Working closely with producers, musicians, and other team members to understand the desired sound and make creative decisions.
- Creating and manipulating sound effects and audio elements to enhance the overall production.
- Troubleshooting technical issues with audio equipment during recordings or live events to ensure smooth operation.
- Editing and refining recorded audio, adding effects, and preparing tracks for final delivery or broadcast.
- Continuously assessing audio quality during recordings and live events, making real-time adjustments as needed.
- Keeping up with advancements in audio technology and software to enhance skills and improve production quality.
Proven experience as sound engineerTechnical expertise in sound engineering techniques (e.g. equalization) Experience with sound editing and recording equipment (e.g. mixing consoles) Working knowledge of recording software and hardware (e.g. Pro Tools)A team player with excellent communication skills Creativity and attention to detail Problem-solving abilitiesExcellent hearing and manual dexterityHigh school diploma; Degree in audio/sound engineering or related field is a plus3 up to 5 years of experience.Preferably GUC, AUC, MSA, UFC graduates.
