The Technical Sales Engineer is responsible for driving sales of ready-mix concrete products and solutions to construction companies, contractors, and other clients. This role requires a strong technical understanding of concrete technology, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to build and maintain customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales & Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the construction industry.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations and proposals.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals.
- Achieve sales targets and contribute to revenue growth.
- Technical Expertise:
- Provide technical advice and support to customers on concrete mix designs, applications, and performance.
- Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and recommend suitable concrete solutions.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., production, quality control) to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, new technologies, and competitive offerings.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in the construction industry.
- Provide excellent customer service and address customer inquiries promptly.
- Resolve customer complaints and issues effectively.
- Develop and implement customer retention strategies.
- Market Analysis:
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities.
- Identify potential market segments and develop targeted sales strategies.
- Gather market intelligence and provide feedback to the sales and marketing teams.
- Reporting & Administration:
- Prepare sales reports and forecasts.
- Maintain accurate customer records and sales data.
- Manage sales expenses and budgets.
Bachelor's degree in engineeringProven experience in technical sales and in the ready-mix concrete industry.Strong technical knowledge of concrete technology, mix designs, and applications.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.Strong negotiation and closing skills.Ability to build and maintain customer relationships.Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
