Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electrical systems for mixed-use buildings (administrative, commercial, and medical) in compliance with project requirements and codes.
- Conduct detailed load calculations, power distribution planning, and develop single-line diagrams for both low and medium voltage systems.
- Collaborate with architects, civil, and mechanical engineers to integrate electrical designs into multi-disciplinary project plans, ensuring system compatibility and project objectives.
- Design and review low-current systems, including CCTV, data, fire alarms, Building Management Systems (BMS), and public address systems, ensuring adherence to industry standards and safety regulations.
- Coordinate the integration of low-current systems within the overall electrical infrastructure, ensuring proper installation and functionality.
- Evaluate and interpret detailed technical drawings, plans, and specifications to ensure accuracy, feasibility, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Provide clear and comprehensive commentary on tender documents, design plans, and shop drawings to support consultant and contractor understanding.
- Manage and oversee the approval processes for government electrical permits and amenities, ensuring all designs and installations comply with national and local regulations.
- Facilitate the process for electrical launches, including communication with relevant authorities to ensure timely approvals and implementation.
- Conduct site inspections to verify the quality and accuracy of electrical installations, checking compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and project timelines.
- Supervise and coordinate with contractors during installation phases, resolving technical issues and ensuring adherence to project schedules and budgets.
- Review and verify contractor invoices for accuracy in alignment with completed works, material costs, and contract terms.
- Maintain cost oversight for electrical works, contributing to budget management and financial planning of the project.
- Prepare and deliver comprehensive technical reports, including commentary on design modifications, field observations, and installation progress.
- Present reports and updates to the consultant’s office and management team, highlighting risks, opportunities, and project developments.
- Utilize software tools, including AUTOCAD, ETAP, and DIALUX, to develop, analyze, and optimize electrical designs.
- Maintain proficiency in M.S. Office Suite for project documentation, budgeting, and communication purposes.
- Implement best practices in electrical engineering and maintain continuous awareness of new technologies and advancements in the field.
- Adhere to quality assurance standards, conducting regular audits and assessments to ensure projects meet established performance criteria.
- Act as a senior resource within the electrical engineering team, providing guidance, training, and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff.
- Engage in effective communication and negotiation with contractors, consultants, and cross-functional project teams, ensuring alignment on project objectives and requirements.
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Ain Shams University or a comparable government university. Master’s in Electrical Engineering (MEE) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.Experience: 8- 12 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on power systems, low and medium voltage expertise, and experience in a consulting office setting.Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in AUTOCAD, M.S. Office, ETAP, DIALUX, and other relevant software for electrical design and analysis.Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of electrical systems for mixed-use developments and expertise in low-current systems, including CCTV, fire alarm, data, and public address.Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, with proven abilities in negotiation and technical documentation.
