Role purpose:
Vodafone Security is a rapidly growing strategic function, that is putting security at the forefront of the Vodafone Business value proposition. In joining the team, you will become a founding member of this exciting function, responsible for executing and delivering the strategic and technology vision, driving market expansion and portfolio extension across multiple OpCo’s.

Vodafone Security sits within Cloud & Security, a c.300 people strong organisation operating predominantly across UK, Germany, Italy and Spain with expanding presence across the EU.
The Project manager will plan, direct and coordinate activities to manage and implement the Security Portfolio projects aligned to the Roadmap including E2E product and service launches; plans, schedules, monitors and reports on activities related to the interconnected projects. Managing the Sell, Build and Run deliverables across the Security products and services.
The Project manager will be responsible for delivering and interfacing to internal suppliers, external partners, OpCo’s and the Vodafone Business stakeholder teams. Main areas of focus include the effective delivery of plans relating to market expansion, channel development, portfolio extension and sales enablement.
The Project manager determines, controls, monitors, and reviews all project/programme economics to include interconnected projects costs, budgets, staffing requirements, resources and risks.
This is like a Programme manager main role is to work with the different internal and external stakeholders to bring control and predictability for the different products various deliveries and keep the senior portfolio team updated with programme overall status, risks and issues for the sake of having sustainability and stability for the overall portfolio.
Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
• Oversee the fulfilment of portfolio goals, giving detailed attention to program strategy, project delegation, and program implementation.
• Strategize, implement, and maintain program initiatives that adhere to organizational objectives.
• Formulate, organize and monitor inter-connected projects.
• Manage resources, staffing requirements , budget and expenditure.
• Identify and manage risks and opportunities across the interconnected projects within the program.
• Manage the delivery of the programme interfacing to internal suppliers, external partners, OpCo’s and the Vodafone Business stakeholder teams.
• Ensure all programme team members are following Vodafone best practices methodology and processes.
Team Coaching and Development
• Develop team members through monthly coaching, the provision of on target feedback, counselling and recognition.
• Facilitate service evaluations to ensure the delivery of excellent standards ensuring the achievement of KPIs and objectives
• Facilitate performance reviews using the “Performance Dialogue” Framework for team members.
• Ensure all team members adhere to Vodafone policies and procedures.
• Adopt and ensure team member adherence to Acts and Regulations, including, but not limited to, the privacy Act, Workplace Health and Safety Act and Equal Opportunity Act.
Team Support
• Manage the Human Resource aspects of your team members including the provision of support, counselling, guidance and advice.
• Organise and facilitate Team, OpCo’s and Partner Meetings and provide feedback to Business Managers
• Ensure efficient and effective communication of information to team members
Customer Support
• Ensure the delivery of the customer experience to customers in accordance with current Vodafone standards through regular sessions.
• Be a point of escalation in the handling of customer queries and complaints to the point of resolution
• Maintain an up to date personal and team knowledge of Vodafone products and services.
Core competencies, knowledge, and experience:
• Thorough knowledge of and experience of working in structured and/or Agile Project Management environment
• Proven ability to manage projects and deliver benefits to timescales
• Strong planning and project management skills
• Experience and understanding of Security, Digital Marketplaces, telecoms industry
• Management of internal and third-party resources (including offshore)
• Stakeholder management and communications skills
• Experience of working in complex, global matrix environment
• Balances multiple work streams, work to tight deadlines and remain cool under pressure / Advanced Time management skills.
• Excellent ability to influence and motivate teams
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
• 4 Years PM Experience
• Agile Project Management
• APM/PMI qualifications
• Structured Project Management (e.g. PRINCE2)
• 2 years People Management experience
• Cybersecurity expertise – particularly managed services
