Group Tax Manager

  • Provide leadership with respect to tax planning, compliance and control across group operations.
  • Manage compliance with tax law across the group, in all tax aspects including, corporate tax, transfer pricing, PAYE and indirect taxes. 
  • Identification and evaluation of taxation risks within the group. 
  • Implementation of systems and processes to monitor and mitigate identified taxation risks.
  • Facilitate and manage the preparation and review of group company tax returns and the accurate, timely filing of all tax forms. 
  • Optimization of group taxation expense, by identifying areas of tax savings and integration of tax planning within strategy formulation.
  • New and existing product evaluation to determine taxation impact and advise on taxation optimization 
  • Custodian of group transfer pricing policy, responsible for ensuring that policy is up to date and appropriate agreements and approvals are in place to ensure compliance. 
  • Review & analysis data  and related legislation with aim of effectively using them on cross- border transactions 
  • Monitor current and impending legislative and regulatory tax law developments, communicate the effects of these developments to management, 
  • Find and implement opportunities for process improvement in the company tax procedures.
  • Develop and implement strategic tax planning for all taxes. 
  • Maintain effective control procedures over all aspects of the tax process.
  • Manage and facilitate tax audits: preparing responses, creating schedules, etc. · Provide support with various internal audits and special tax related projects.
  • Manage and mentor members of tax team to greater levels of effectiveness and engagement. 
  • Improve taxation knowledge within group through communication and tax training where appropriate.
  • Handling and managing tax inspection with the companies and the tax authorities.
  • Facilitate and manage the preparation, review, and inspections companies’ tax returns and the accurate, timely filing of all tax forms.

• Degree in Accounting/Finance/ Taxing• Very Good English language (written & spoken)• Professional certificate CMA/ CPA not must but highly regarded.• Min 10-15 years’ experience out of which 3-5 relevant experience in Real estate sector is highly recommended.• Experience in Real estate and/or Agriculture is a must.• Contractor’s experience is highly recommended.• Relevant experience in audit and Taxing is advantageous.• Excellent strategic planning skills and able to interact with all levels.• Excellent MS Office skills particularly strong capabilities in MS Excel.• Able to work independently and highly ambitious.• Working experience in Microsoft Dynamics is highly regarded.• Familiarity of IFRS and Egyptian accounting standards is a must.
