- Insure attendance and the punctuality of nursing staff, according to CHG policy .
- Make sure patients are screened on arrival according to specialty .
- Ensure that consulting rooms are ready before the doctors arrive for consultation .
- Make sure patients vital signs are done, including blood sugar screening before the patients are directed to the consulting room .
- Collaborate with the reception staff regarding patients with appointments for specific specialties like surgery, diabetic clinic .
- Make sure the patient’s files are collected on time from the Medical Record Department.
- Deploy nurses to assist doctors and stay with patients until the doctor completes the consultation (especially with female patients) .
- Provide assistance for patients who require other services such as Phlebotomy and radiology etc.
- Make sure patients who need assistance with wheelchairs and porters etc., are promptly and appropriately assisted.
- Request needed supplies and equipment for unit.
- Supervise documentation of staff nurses and ensure accuracy of medical record.
- Participate in specific unit orientation of new staff in the unit, and learn new clinical practices, to insure safe practice for all nursing staff.
- Investigates and resolves complaints and counseling of staff and refers unusual problems to superior
- Collaborate with the cashier in ensuring that consultation fees are correctly charged.
At least 2-3 years’ experience as Head Nurse or assistant head nurse or charge nurse in the same area of specialty.Must be registered with the Egyptian Syndicate or Nursing Council / Association of country of origin.Valid profession practicing license.Follow the proper channels of communication according to the department organizational chart.Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.Maintain professional appearance and dress code
