- Discuss the manufacturing process for product and component development with the R&D Team to ensure clear direction and understanding of the desired result.
- Ensure that all engineering requirements and modifications are represented on the engineering drawings.
- Together with the Product development manager Identify and support standardization by ensuring that new development fits into the platform and subsystem structure.
- Design creation and release of mechanical structural components within the time frame, cost target, quality level, and process constraints)
- Support the product care team in cost and quality improvement activities.
- Prepare and maintain product files (BOM, Drawings, Specs, Test Specs. etc.,)
- Analysis of technical solutions with suppliers, product care, and other involved functions.
- Understand, change, and create component/system design specifications/requirements/guidelines.
- Identify and support standardization by ensuring new development fits into the platform and subsystem structure.
- Part and product approval: understand technical test results to make decisions on design development and final approval for series production
- Conduct specific Training for product awareness for relevant parties (Labors, Technicians, CSS
- Follow up on specific tests in the laboratory for mechanical components approval.
- In-depth knowledge of different multinational technical and environmental product legislation and requirements.
- Maintain absolute work secrecy.
- Maintains accurate files, records, studies, and reports and shares information appropriately. Makes suggestions on developing engineering standards and specifications.
