Sr. Payroll Specialist

  1. Payroll Processing:
    • Accurately process payroll on monthly basis, including calculating wages, benefits, taxes, and other deductions.
    • Ensure timely payroll submissions and payments in compliance with company policies and labor regulations.
    • Manage adjustments related to overtime, incentive, leaves of absence, and terminations.
  2. Compliance and Reporting:
    • Ensure compliance with local regulations and tax obligations.
    • Prepare and submit required payroll-related reports, including tax filings.
    • Stay updated with changes in labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
  3. Employee Support:
    • Address payroll-related inquiries from employees, providing clear and timely responses regarding payments, deductions, and discrepancies.
    • Assist with new hire onboarding by ensuring payroll information is correctly input and employee data is maintained in payroll systems.
  4. System and Data Management:
    • Maintain and update payroll systems, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
    • Ensure employee records are up to date, including contracts, promotions, and benefit changes.
    • Generate payroll reports and provide insights for management on payroll trends, costs, and forecasts.
  5. Audits and Reconciliation:
    • Conduct regular audits of payroll procedures to ensure accuracy and identify areas for improvement.
    • Reconcile payroll-related accounts and collaborate with the Finance team to ensure accurate general ledger entries.
  6. Process Improvement:
    • Identify and recommend improvements to payroll processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
    • Lead or participate in payroll system upgrades, automation projects, or the implementation of new payroll software as needed.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field.Experience: Minimum 4-6 years of experience in payroll management, preferably within the F&B or hospitality sector.Technical Skills: Proficiency in payroll software and strong Excel skills.Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of payroll regulations, taxation, and labor laws.Analytical Skills: Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to manage complex calculations.
