The Chip Lead will provide technical and project leadership to a multi-disciplinary team responsible for the design and development of System-on-Chips (SoCs) using advanced process nodes. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of SoC architecture, digital design, verification, and physical implementation methodologies.
Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership:
- Lead the definition of SoC architecture, microarchitecture, and design specifications.
- Drive the execution of the chip design from concept to tape-out.
- Oversee the implementation of RTL design, verification, synthesis, static timing analysis, and physical design.
- Work closely with verification teams to ensure thorough validation of the SoC.
- Guide the team in addressing technical challenges and making critical design decisions.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in advanced process nodes and design methodologies.
Project Leadership:
- Define project schedules and milestones.
- Manage project resources and budgets.
- Track project progress and report status to management.
- Ensure on-time delivery of high-quality silicon.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams such as software, product engineering, and test engineering.
Team Leadership:
- Build and mentor a high-performing team of engineers.
- Foster a culture of innovation and collaboration.
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback for growth.
Qualifications:Education:M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.Experience:10+ years of experience in SoC design and development.Proven track record of leading successful SoC tape-outs in advanced process nodes.Deep understanding of SoC architecture, digital design, verification, and physical design methodologies.Experience with industry-standard EDA tools.Strong project management and leadership skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Desired Skills:Experience with low-power design techniques.Familiarity with high-performance computing architectures.Knowledge of machine learning and AI accelerators.Experience with DFT and silicon bring-up.
