SAP Project Manager

Job Purpose / Summary


The SAP Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the successful planning, execution, and delivery of SAP projects. This includes managing timelines, budgets, and resources while ensuring the solution aligns with business objectives. The role involves coordinating cross-functional teams, mitigating risks, and maintaining clear communication with stakeholders to ensure project success.

Key work areas and Job description

-       Manage end-to-end SAP project lifecycles, from planning and design to deployment and post-implementation support, ensuring alignment with business transformation goals.

-        Work closely with internal teams, clients, and external vendors to gather requirements, design solutions, and ensure seamless project execution.

-        Develop detailed project plans, including schedules, budgets, resource allocations, and risk mitigation strategies.

-        Track project milestones, deliverables, and performance metrics, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget while meeting quality standards.

-        Manage the impact of SAP implementation on business operations, ensuring minimal disruption while driving user adoption through effective change management strategies.

-        Identify potential risks and challenges throughout the project lifecycle, proactively developing mitigation strategies to keep the project on track.

-        Utilize a mix of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid) to meet client needs and project complexity.

-        Promote best practices in SAP project management and contribute to continuous process improvements in SAP systems and project methodologies.

-        Lead cross-functional teams, providing guidance, and support, and ensuring alignment with project goals.

-        Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during the project, providing regular status updates, managing expectations, and addressing any concerns.


·       Knowledge/Education / Certifications: -

-       Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.

-       A master's degree in business administration (MBA) or IT Management is a plus.

-       Deep Understanding of SAP Systems: Expertise in SAP S/4HANA and other key modules.

-       Proficiency in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project management methodologies.

-       Knowledge of digital transformation strategies and how SAP integrates into modern digital ecosystems.

-       PMP (Project Management Professional), PRINCE2, or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) for Agile projects.

·       Experience:

-       5+ Years of SAP Project Management: Proven experience managing the end-to-end implementation of SAP projects (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, SAP FICO, SAP MM, etc.), including system integration, configuration, and customization.

-       Experience managing project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure on-time and within-budget project delivery.

-       Strong experience managing client relationships, facilitating communication, and ensuring alignment between client requirements and SAP solution delivery.

-       Hands-on experience with SAP system migrations, including data migration and upgrading legacy systems to modern SAP platforms (e.g., from ECC to SAP S/4HANA).
