Job Description:
- Sell Johnson Controls Products & Services to primary decision makers, focusing on end users and service providers (contractors, consultants).
- Build and maintain long-term customer relationships using company-defined sales processes and tools.
- Optimize the link between the customer’s operational and business objectives and Johnson Controls solutions to provide a total value solution and competitive advantage.
- Seek out, qualify, and close large and more complex new sales opportunities, specifically focusing on new business growth.
- Create competitive, high-quality, timely estimates, bids, proposals, and cost/benefit analyses.
- Ensure new proposals and bids are compliant with Johnson Controls standards before customer presentation.
- Own final negotiations on value and impact on the customer’s business to close the sale.
- Utilize applicable sales tools effectively to plan and document progress and increase business growth.
- Build and maintain a network of contacts and communicate effectively with the broader Johnson Controls team.
- Participate as a leader in professional organizations and appropriate trade shows.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- From 5 to 10 years of experience in a high-level, high-value, and complex sales position.
- Experience in Chillers is a must.
- Excellent initiative and interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrate strong technical subject matter expertise to foster credibility, loyalty, trust, and commitment.
